Celtic have secured a deal to bring Kenyan defender Victor Wanyama to Parkhead.

The club have agreed a fee with Belgian club Germinal Beerschot for the 20-year-old, who has accepted the personal terms.

A statement on the club's official website added: "Victor will join the club in the summer subject to a work permit and medical."

Wanyama's impending arrival follows the signings of full-back Adam Matthews from Cardiff and centre-back Kelvin Wilson from Nottingham Forest, both of whom signed pre-contract deals in the winter.

Manager Neil Lennon has also been linked with Israeli striker Omer Damari, who plays for Maccabi Petah Tikva, and Kaiser Chiefs forward Knowledge Musona.

Lennon has also admitted interest in Central Coast Mariners midfielder Mustafa Amini, 18, who will play against the Hoops in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.
